Roy Wegman is a woodworking hobbyist based in Rochester, NY. He has an eye for rescuing discarded wood and antique items and reshaping them into a new life of stunning home decor.

Woodworking has always been a hobby for Roy, and several years ago he decided to turn some scrap wood into functional home decor pieces. He had a vision of pieces that complemented the “farm house chic” aesthetic, with a combination of true rustic and steampunk inspiration. From barn pulleys and discarded furniture, to reclaimed barnwood, wine barrels, and window panes, Roy brings the true beauty and history out in each individual piece.

Roy has since delved into a full exploration of ideas with local commissions from wonderful clients who he has been honored to work with. Now, Roy and his wife Diane can regularly be seen in the local Rochester, NY (and surrounding area) festivals during the summer months. You can view his full list of upcoming shows here.

*Note that this website is merely a portfolio, as every piece is unique in its reclaimed status and can therefore never be exactly replicated. That said, Roy is happy to take commissions (especially in the festival off-season) and will gladly work with you to build and refinish something similar to anything you see here to compliment your (or a friend’s!) home.
